what's the magic word

sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me...
or will they?
no. they wont..
i do believe they could be helping you a lot more :] words hold power, they are our magic wands. speak wisely, intentionally, and with great honor. a few replacements I've made..

"don't forget" with "remember to"
old: don't forget to bring your jacket home
new: remember to bring your jacket home (please :])
affirming what I WOULD like to happen rather than saying not to do something. I am making it easier on myself by stating what the task truly is and speaking in yes language.

"i want" with "i would like"
old:i want a vacation
new:i would like/love (the experience of) a vacation even better: i am vacationing :]
affirming the "I AM" doing/being something is very powerful. it becomes your state of being. "want" is such a needy energy; it can be challenging for the universe to know the difference between chasing something (wanting) or if I am/have something (supplied in that moment)

"i'm dying to do that" with "i'm living/very excited to be doing that!"
this is obvious to me.. I am staying alive to do something sounds much more appealing than "dying" to do it

"always" with "seems like" unless I REALLY want it to always be that way
old: they/he/she/it is always like that
new: it seems like usually/in the past/until now they have (you can still say it here, if you must :]) always done that
I am allowing others to really change! people change, I've changed, you've changed, sometimes drastically...it can and will happen with the people around me, if I can even begin to see that person different/more positive/happy, at least I have a reference of what it would be like. it will change because they will begin acting as a loved, healthy person as I would like them to be or they will leave my life, creating space for the love to show up.
